Botryocladia botryoides (Wulfen) Feldmann, 1941
This Botryocladia is a red alga with cylindrical branches. It branches dichotomously and ends in smooth, shiny bubbles. It forms grape-like clusters. The clusters lose their volume and shrink when exposed to air. Botryocladia botryoides has a fiery red color ranging from dark pink to burgundy.
The algae reaches a length of 10 cm, but is usually smaller and sometimes contains only a few or just one vesicle.
