Husbandry

Allen, 2006

Special thanks for the perfect photos to LemonTeaYK from Japan.

The dusky fairy-warsse is only known from the holotype from Kalimantan, Indonesia.

Sighted in a habitat characterised by a steep slope beginning in relatively deep water; about 10 individuals, including the holotype, were observed at 40 m, on a flat to gently sloping rubble bottom along the upper edge of a vertical drop-off

Remarks: This species is closely related to Cirrhilabrus lunatus and females look almost identical.

Classification: Biota > Animalia (Kingdom) > Chordata (Phylum) > Vertebrata (Subphylum) > Gnathostomata (Superclass) > Pisces (Superclass) > Actinopteri (Class) > Perciformes (Order) > Labroidei (Suborder) > Labridae (Family) > Cirrhilabrus (Genus) > Cirrhilabrus brunneus (Species)
