Inhabits clear, shallow waters of outer reef areas. Also found in lagoons, back-reef areas, and on the reef-top. Feeds on small fishes and crustaceans.

hätte mir diesen schönen fisch bald gekauft,doch dieses exemplar hat schon mehrfach alles getötet was der händler ihm zugesellen wollte,so redete mir der händler diesen fisch schnell wieder aus.....

gibts die nicht auch entspannter?

Rot oder Rosa war der Fisch nur beim Händler und bei mir in den ersten 2 Wochen. Nachdem sich der Barsch eingelebt hatte, zeigte er sich in dunklen fast schwarzen Farbtönen.
