Info
Austrosassia parkinsonia is a predatory marine shell snail whose prey range is not yet fully known.
In the meantime, it is known that the snail, which was previously known exclusively from Australian, New Zealand and New Caledonian waters, is slowly conquering new habitats, such as Tasmania, in known snail manner and speed, this area is currently not listed in SeaLifeBase.
Often the protective snail shell is overgrown with red algae, which provides the snail with an additional camouflage protective effect.
