Info

Acanthogorgia armata is found at depths from 100 meters to two and a half thousand meters on seamounts and submarine crests.
At a depth of 2,500 meters, there is a pressure of 250 bar, i.e. 250 tons per square meter or 250 kg per square centimeter,
amazing that there are animals that can cope with such pressure situations.

Since at great depths photosynthesis is no longer possible due to lack of light, the coral has to catch marine snow and zooplankton, which it does very well with the stocking density of polyps.
succeeds very well.
