Info

We would like to thank Dennis, King, South Africa, for the very nice photo of Taeniamia flavofasciata, Dennis has been supporting reeflex.net for years, thank you Dennis!

This cardinalfish lives in seagrass beds in relatively shallow waters and is usually landed as a by-catch of net fishermen.
Color in life: Pinkish-grey with about 7 dark outlined dark yellow bars on the side of the body, the dark tail spot is round to slightly oval, about the size of a pupil.

Unfortunately, we currently have no information on the biology of the small cardinalfish.

Synonym: Archamia flavofasciata Gon & Randall, 2003 - unaccepted
