The sponge in the picture was taken during a dive in Mauritius.
Alexander_KTN provided the following information.

I would have guessed a Clathria species.
As far as I know, Clathria (Microciona) atrasanguinea occurs on Mauritius, otherwise possibly C. venosa, but I don't know its distribution.

However, some other genera/species also have this “venous” appearance (e.g. species from Chalinula, Ircinia, Halisarca etc.) because the branching has a function.
