Info

Dried green and Brown algae are a practical and tasty treat for all fish, who need vegetable food or partly vegetable food.

One breaks or cuts off a piece of dried seaweed and soakes it in salt water, until it is soft and capable for feeding.
Not everyone has an own filter basin with eadable algae at home, so the dried version is extremely handy.

Various surgeonfish, rabbitfish and anglefish go mad for these tidbits, which provide a high proportion of proteins, essential amino acids, polyunsaturated fatty acids, iodine and vitamins. In addition, algae are rich in minerals such as calcium, magnesium and iron.

As beeing a pure natural product, algea are free of harmful environmentpoisons/Pesticides and pollute the aquarium only slightly with phosphate or nitrate.

In addition, algae in grated or pressed state are also added to conventional feed.

Some marine algae are also quite suitable for human consumption, this is confirmed by the numerous offers from retailers and on the Internet.
