“Ghost” or “Skeleton” shrimps, so called for their skeletal appearance. Amphipod crustaceans, easily distinguished by the elongate stick-like body form and reduction of the abdominal appendages.Found from the intertidal zone to 201 m depth on algae, sponges, hydroids and tunicates.
Described as predatory grasping the prey with her gnathopod and seemingly introducing poison from the poison tooth (Costa 1960).
