Pictocolumbella ocellata is distributed in the Indian Ocean , Madagascar and in the Western Pacific (in warm tropical water).The Lightning Dove Shell lives on sandy and muddy bottom,the shell colour and pattern varies grately.The most of snails belongs to the family Columbellidae are omnivore and scavenger.They are nocturnal.
