Gomophia egyptiaca Gray, 1840

This species can be easily distinguished from others because the visible upper spines are framed by a ring.

Gomophia egyptiaca inhabits lagoons and outer reefs and is not suitable for home aquariums due to its diet, although it is offered from time to time through DeJong Marinelife.
