Costasiella formicaria (Baba, 1959) 
Costasiella formicaria grows to about 10 mm in length. The background colour is translucent with black markings. The cerata can be black,green, olive green olive green or golden brown, usually with opaque white specks on the tips.
Rhinophores and anterior foot corners are black.The head is black lined.Baba named the species "formicarius" because the black specimens reminded him of small black ants (Formica = ants).
Costasiella formicaria feeds on filamentous green algae.
