Alcyonium fauri Studer, 1910

The Purple soft corals grow in small colonies up to 3 cm in height, 30 cm in diameter,individual polyps is 0,4 cm. The colour varies from usually bright purple to yellow, pink, red, dark grey or orange. It is preyed on by the nudibranchs Leminda millecra and Tritonia species.
