The offspring of Goniopora tantillus are possible. Unfortunately, the number of offspring is not large enough to cover the demand of the trade. If you are interested in Goniopora tantillus, please ask your dealer for offspring. If you already own Goniopora tantillus, try breeding yourself. This will help to improve the availability of offspring in the trade and to conserve natural stocks.
Claereboudt & Al Amri†, 2004
Very special thanks for his photo of "Calathiscus tantillus" from the Gulf of Oman to Dr. Dr. Michel R. Claereboudt.
This corals was renamed twice, from "Calathiscus tantillus" to "Machadoporites tantillus" (Nemésio, 2005) and finally to "Goniopora tantillus" (Benzoni, Arrigoni, Shirayama, Wallace, Fukami, 2014).
Goniopora tantillus is a small coral, that appears endemic in the Gulf of Oman and around Masirah Island, east coast of Oman / Arabian sea.
