Info

Amblyosyllis nigrolineata Okada, 1934

The specific epithet "nigrolineata" is a Latin meaning "marked with black lines", and refers to the coloration of these Amblyosyllis species.

These shallow water species was found always associated with an undetermined type of shallow water sponges at Japan.

Most members of this family feed on colonial benthic invertebratesm including hydroids, bryozoans, but some feed on diatoms and other algae.
