Anthemiphyllia macrolobata is a solitary stony coral that was discovered and collected on Kermadec Ridge near Hawaiii using an ROV.
Below 200 meters, very few stony corals can photosynthesize through their zooxanthellae due to lack of sunlight.
See in this regard:

No zooxanthellate corals are known below 250 meters, consequently Anthemiphyllia macrolobata must also feed by catching plankton.
