Info

Shy in the beginning, but that will change after some time.
Swims slowly between seaweed and corals looking for small food.
In nature they are found not below 10 m, hidden in safe inner reefs. Sometimes you will find them in the spikes of diadema urchins.
Not often to find in the market.

Jumping guard
A jumping guard prevents (nocturnal) fish from jumping out.
Wrasses, blennies, hawkfishs and gobies jump out of an unprotected tank in fright if their night rest is disturbed, unfortunately these jumpers are found dried up in the morning on carpets, glass edges or later behind the tank.

A small night light also helps, as it provides the fish with a means of orientation in the dark!

Nach wenigen, aber doch verlässlichen Berichten sollte man Pteragogus Lippfische nicht mit Putzergarnelen (auch Gattung Lysmata) vergesellschaften. Diese werden nur zu leicht Opfer des Lippfisches.
