A hybrid is a cross between two species, where in this case it isn’t a cross achieved by breeding but a natural cross of two different species, here (Holacanthus ciliaris) and (Holacanthus bermudensis) in the sea.
Such a crossing is not planed but happens rather by accident, as the eggs are fertilized by the sperm of one type with a different type.
Often such organisms, however, are themselves not fertile, so that a further hybridization usually is excluded.
As angelfish like to peck on coral polyps, and also achieve quite a high price (~ 180 €) only really experienced aquarists should keep such rare animals.
