Ostrea edulis Linnaeus, 1758

European flat oyste up to 20c m long (normaly 10 cm).The shell colour is off-white, yellowish, or cream, with light brown or bluish concentric bands,. typically oval or pear-shaped.It lives from the lower shore to about 80 m.
The oyster has become very rare in the wild, so it is grown in oyster farms.
