Very sprecial thanks for the first 4 photos of Madracis carmabi to Dr. M. J. A. Vermeij, one of the scientists who wrote the original description of this Caribbean coral.
This coral is a relatively common zooxanthellate scleractinian and is found in deep water fore reef environments and is mostly found from 14-41 meters depth.
