Trachinotus botla (Shaw, 1803)
Occurs inshore . Adults can be found in sandy surf zones, juveniles in shallow surf zones. The Largespotted Dart feeds on crabs, mussels, and worms.
Colour bluish black above, silvery below, with 1-5 large spots (absent in specimens less than 15 cm, number of spots increasing with age).
