Euphyllia paraglabrescens, Veron, 1990

Skeletons are almost identical to those of Euphyllia glabrescens. Tentacles are short and bubble-like and are extended day and night.
Has only been found attached to sandstone rock in shallow water.
The dominant species of Ôjioya Port, Tanegashima, Japan, the only place where this species has been found.

Habe vor ca. 6 Monaten eine solche Steinkoralle erworben. Ich habe sie an einer tieferen Stelle mit wenig Strömung platziert und sie ist wunderbar gewachsen. Nach ca. 3 Monaten begnn sie sich zu teilen. Nun sind es deren zwei. Sie frisst den Kalk aus dem Wasser sodass ich mit den Wasserwerten anfänglich etwas Probleme bekam, doch wenn man darauf reagiert, dann hat man schnell einen großen Stock

Ich halte seit 3 Jahren schon diese Großpolypige Steinkoralle und sie ist eine sehr wiederstandsfähige und hübsche Koralle.
Sie wächst bei mir in den unteren Regionen des Riffs bei schwacher wechselnder Strömung.
Gefüttert wird sie alle zwei Tage( Mysis, Artemia, aufgew. Trockenfutter,gehackte Garnelen),das natürlich bei Strömungsstillstand.
