Die Gelbe Krustenanemone kann dauerhaft nur in Aquarien gehalten werden, deren Temperatur 18 °C nicht übersteigt. In gekühlten Becken und bei ausreichender Fütterung sind diese Krustenanemonen jedoch dankbare Pfleglinge. Dabei nehmen sie jegliches Futter von Cyclops, über Staubfutter bis zu Phytoplankton gerne an und vermehren sich rege.
Die Beleuchtung darf auch nicht zu hell sein. Lieber an schattigen Plätzen, unter Felsvorsprüngen oder in Höhlen ansiedeln. Man merkt es, wenn ihr das Lichtangebot gefällt daran, dass sie dann auch tagsüber die Polypen öffnet.
