(Rüppell, 1838)

The Indian Ocean twospot cardinalfish lives in a symbiotic relationship with a Diadema sea urchin.
The fish finds schelter between the prickles and the fish cleans the urchin.

Paramia bipunctata (Rüppell, 1838) and Siphamia versicolor (Weber, 1909) also live in a relationship with a Diadema sea urchin.
