Info

Pagurus fungiformis Komai & Rahayu, 2004

The species is named for the Latin "fungiformis", that means "mushroom-like shaped", in reference to the mushroom-like tubercles on the palms of the chelipeds.

The dark-spotted hermit crab is found in shallow coral reefs, in the intertidal zone and in tide pools.

Unfortunately, nothing is known about its diet.

Simialr to Pagurus mollucensis.
