Pervagor melanocephalus (Bleeker, 1853)

Blackish brown or bluish black head and anterior portion of body, rest of the body orange. Scale ridge rugosities of male usually develop at about 65 mm SL. Scale spinulation on midbody not closely packed. Often in pairs.

Dieser Fisch ist eigentlich im Grossen und Ganzen unproblematisch. Das einzige Problem ist, dass er auf Garnelen steht! Er hat zwei grosse Putzergarnelen verputzt und klaut unserer Muräne die Sandgarnelen aus dem Mund!!! Aber sonst ist er eigentlich gegenüber allen anderen Bewohnern friedlich. Man muss aber unbedingt darauf achten, dass er ab und zu hartes Futter bekommt (Schalentiere) sonst werden seine Zähne so lang, dass er nicht mehr fressen kann und verhungert.
