Beautiful small fish, that ist rare in German Reef Tanks.
Great little Blenny, that swims similar to the E. bicolor, with same hiding maners. The fish are a Reef Safe Blenny species, that will NOT do harm to SPS or LPS Corals. It eats primary only Algae, that it nips off the glass and rockworks.

Jumping guard
A jumping guard prevents (nocturnal) fish from jumping out.
Wrasses, blennies, hawkfishs and gobies jump out of an unprotected tank in fright if their night rest is disturbed, unfortunately these jumpers are found dried up in the morning on carpets, glass edges or later behind the tank.

A small night light also helps, as it provides the fish with a means of orientation in the dark!

Wie meine Vorredner schon beschreiben, ein sehr aufgeweckter und interessanter Fisch. Jedoch geht er bei mir sehr wohl an Korallen. Einer Alveopora und einer Blastomussa zupft er im Wechsel an den Polypen rum. Er scheint hinter bzw. unter den Korallen seine Zweit- bzw. Dritthöhle einzurichten. Wirkt so als würde diese sauber halten wollen.

Ein sehr tolles Tier, es macht spaß ihn zu beobachten. Anfangs noch scheu, hat es sich nach wenigen Tagen schnell geändert.

Sucht sich immer wieder neue Verstecke, von wo aus er das Treiben im Becken beobachtet oder sich zurückzieht wenn mein Oxycirrhites typus Pärchen ihn etwas vertreibt...

Nimmt bei mir Frostfutter ohne Probleme an.

Hallo,

süßes Tierchen mit interessantem Verhalten. Leider zerlegt er mir gerade meine wunderschöne Goniopora indem er ständig beim vorbei schwimmen in die geöffneten Polypen beißt.

Wenn er nicht in kürze damit aufhört werde ich ihn wohl rausholen müssen. Die Goniopora leidet unter den ständig wahllosen Bissen sehr.

Frisst alles und ununterbrochen. Er hat zwei höhlen. Eine etwas höhere als Aussichtsplatz am Tag und weiter unten eine Höhle zum schlafen. Korallen zu nahe an seiner Schlafhöhle wirft er um bzw. sorgt dafür, dass sie kurze Zeit später im Sand liegen. Das hat er mit zwei Acans gemacht, die ich leider nicht festkleben konnte.
