Husbandry

Randall & Nagareda, 2002

Known as very rare, but however sometimes to be found in Germany. The shown one belongs to Joachim Großkopf, Nürnberg.
It was imported from Micronesia.
Mostly remain smaller than 10 cm, but it is not so unusual that fishes become bigger in nature than in our tanks. Not easy to be fed. Like all Cirrhilabrus, they are very shy and sensitive in the beginning, but after acclimation not too difficult to keep.
Be careful: they like to jump!!

Classification: Biota > Animalia (Kingdom) > Chordata (Phylum) > Vertebrata (Subphylum) > Gnathostomata (Superclass) > Pisces (Superclass) > Actinopterygii (Class) > Perciformes (Order) > Labridae (Family) > Cheilininae (Subfamily) > Cirrhilabrus (Genus) > Cirrhilabrus bathyphilus (Species)
