Info

Chaetodon leucopleura is also known as the Somali butterflyfish. It lives endemic along the Coast of Somalia around Horn of Africa, south to the Coast of Kenia and Tanzania, north to the Coast of Jemen. Uncommon in the wild and trade.

Remarks:

Butterflyfish are not recommended for reefs as they will pick at or eat a wide variety of corals, fan worms, and other invertebrates. Most Butterflyfish are known to pick at Aiptaisia, a parasitic anemone.
